Privacy Policy

In this Privacy Policy, “us”, “we” or “our” means The Neighbourhood Collective (ABN 57 425 323 500), trading as Cult Marketing. We are committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

By providing personal information to us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any other arrangements that apply between us. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time by publishing changes to it on our website. We encourage you to check our website periodically to ensure that you are aware of our current Privacy Policy.

Personal information includes information or an opinion about an individual that is reasonably identifiable. For example, this may include your name, contact details, and information about your interests and preferences.

About us

Cult Marketing is a marketing service for touring, live events and music releases. We work with artists, promoters, labels and venues to help them connect with audiences and grow their fanbase.

What personal information do we collect?

We collect the following types of personal information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • phone number;
  • your device ID, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from our sites, advertising data, IP address and standard web log information; and
  • any other personal information you provide to us directly, through our website, through campaigns we run, or that we collect through your interaction with our services.

We may collect this information either directly from you, or from third parties such as our artist clients, promoters, ticketing partners, or marketing platforms (where you have opted in to receive communications via those channels).

We collect this information when you:

  • sign up to a mailing list or campaign we operate;
  • opt in to receive updates about an artist, tour, event or release;
  • enter a competition or promotion we run;
  • interact with our websites, advertising, or content; or
  • communicate with us directly.

Why do we collect, use and disclose personal information?

We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to send you marketing and promotional communications about artists, tours, events and releases you have opted in to hear about;
  • to share your contact details with the artist, promoter, label or campaign you have opted in to, so they (and their teams) can also communicate with you about their work;
  • to operate, protect, improve and optimise our services, including analytics, research, advertising and marketing;
  • to send you service and administrative messages;
  • to administer competitions, surveys, contests or promotional activities;
  • to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
  • to develop audience insights so we can better understand preferences and improve the services we provide to our clients.

Direct marketing

We may send you direct marketing communications about artists, tours, events, releases and other activities we think may be of interest to you. This may take the form of email, SMS, or other communications, in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For users in the United States, our marketing communications also comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, including a valid physical postal address and a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every email.

You can opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, replying STOP to any SMS, or contacting us using the details below. Please note that if you opted in via a specific artist or campaign, you may also need to unsubscribe from that artist’s own communications separately.

To whom do we disclose your personal information?

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Artists, their management, labels, and promoters — when you have opted in to hear from a specific artist, tour, release or campaign, we share your opt-in details with the relevant artist and their team so they can also contact you;
  • Ticketing partners — to assist with event-related communications and audience matching;
  • Audience Republic — our email and SMS marketing platform;
  • Analytics and advertising platforms — including Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Seeka, which help us understand audience behaviour and run targeted advertising;
  • our employees, contractors and related entities;
  • professional advisers and agents;
  • anyone to whom our assets or business (or any part of it) may be transferred;
  • specific third parties authorised by you to receive information held by us; and
  • government agencies, regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies, where required, authorised or permitted by law.
